Unlocks and prohibited calls

Definitions:

  • Unlocks refer to the transition of the phone screen from off to on.

  • Prohibited calls refer to calls made using a non‑authorized audio device (phone speaker, wireless earbuds, phone audio) while the vehicle is in motion.

  • Prohibited calls show a positive trend, with a 14.6% decrease between January 2024 and January 2026.

  • Conversely, the frequency of unlocks per 100 km increased by 5% over the same period, indicating greater phone usage (messaging and video apps).
